Prof. Clark Zeebregts is a Professor of Vascular Surgery and Consultant Vascular Surgeon at the University of Groningen’s Faculty of Medical Sciences, affiliated with the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG). His roles include leading the Vascular Ageing Programme and serving on editorial boards such as the Journal of Endovascular Therapy. He holds expertise in endovascular techniques, carotid surgery, and translational research on atherosclerosis and molecular imaging. With over 450 peer-reviewed articles and an H-index of 50, his research focuses on vascular anastomosis, stent grafting, and prosthetic graft infections. He has mentored 25 PhD graduates and currently supervises 14 students. Prof. Zeebregts has held leadership positions in vascular societies, including the European Society for Cardiovascular and Endovascular Surgery (ESCVS), and has collaborated with industry partners like W.L. Gore & Associates and Cook Medical.
