Jayer Chung

Jayer Chung, M.D., M.Sc. is an Associate Professor of Surgery and Associate Chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery & Endovascular Therapy at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX. He specializes in limb salvage, diabetic foot ulceration, carotid occlusive disease, and endovascular techniques for aortic and peripheral vascular conditions.

• Clinical Expertise: Thoracic/abdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid stenting, revascularization for diabetic patients, and vascular graft infections

His research focuses on innovative endovascular devices and revascularization strategies for limb-threatening ischemia, particularly in diabetic populations, and outcomes in carotid artery disease. He has contributed to studies on Exergaming for DVT prevention and WIfI classification for revascularization. Scientific recognition includes the 2023 Faculty Excellence Award and the Early Career Faculty Award for Patient Care. Dr. Chung is certified by the American Board of Surgery in General and Vascular Surgery and serves as Medical Director of Vascular Surgery at Baylor.
