Clarissa Mendez serves as Senior Lecturer in Clemson University's College of Architecture, Art and Construction within the Richard A. McMahan School of Architecture. She teaches undergraduate studios (ARCH 2520/21, ARCH 3500/11, ARCH 4010) and graduate courses (ARCH 8090/4990), coordinating the portfolio design curriculum while developing innovative offerings for Creative Inquiry and Departmental Honors programs.

Mendez's research critically examines architecture's relationship to environment through inclusive and equitable frameworks, challenging isolated conceptions of site.
