Clare Super serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Arts and Sciences and is a PhD candidate in biological anthropology (graduating 2024).

Research Focus: Her dissertation, "Nursing in a Disrupted Labor Landscape: Nurses' Health and Microbiomes under the Cycle of Precarious Employment and Circadian Disruption," investigates biocultural manifestations of stress and climate change in disaster relief workers' metabolisms and microbiomes. She specifically examines vulnerability/resilience dynamics among rural Montana wildland firefighters through differential background analysis. Prior research includes ancient DNA sequencing, mitochondrial haplotype studies, and archaeological fieldwork, establishing her expertise in biological anthropology methodologies.
