Dr Clare Southerton is a Senior Lecturer at Monash University and a Visiting Fellow at UNSW Sydney's Centre for Social Research in Health. Her research focuses on digital technologies' impact on learning, knowledge-sharing, and societal structures. Key areas include digital youth cultures, surveillance, digital health, and sexuality. She has authored/co-authored books like The Face Mask in COVID Times and edited volumes on wellness cultures. Her work bridges sociology, digital media studies, and public health, examining topics like TikTok's role in health communication, conspiracy theories, and LGBTQ+ digital citizenship.
