Dr. Clare Scully is an Associate Professor of Food Animal Health Maintenance in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, Louisiana State University. Her academic credentials include an MS from Oregon State University (2015), DVM from the University of Tennessee (2011), MA from Hunter College (2002), and BA from SUNY Old Westbury (1998). She holds Diplomate status with the American College of Theriogenologists.
Research Focus
Dr. Scully's research integrates reproductive technology, pain physiology, and preventive medicine for food animals. Current projects examine pharmacokinetics of analgesics in goats, bovine ocular microbiomes, and small ruminant parasite resistance. Her work spans sterilization techniques for wildlife, androgen exposure impacts on sheep, and optimization of semen collection methods.
