Dr. Clara Sitbon is a Senior Lecturer in French and Francophone Studies at The University of Sydney, specializing in literary hoaxes, authorship, and crime fiction. She holds a PhD from the University of Newcastle and has taught at Sydney since completing her studies. Her work bridges French literature and digital humanities, particularly using NLP and stylometry to analyze pseudonyms.
Education: BA (French Language, Literature, Political Science) from Lyon 2 University, MA in Teaching French as a Foreign Language, PhD from University of Newcastle.
Research focuses on multi-authorship, French crime fiction, and Corsican narratives. Current projects include mapping Carter Brown's works via the Nancy Keesing Fellowship and exploring archipelagic approaches to multilingual crime fiction.
