Clara Belessiotis-Richards is a Wellcome Doctoral Clinical Research Fellow at King's College London, affiliated with the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience. She holds roles as a specialist registrar in Old Age Psychiatry and leads research combining neuroimaging analytics with epidemiology to study dementia and brain pathology in population health contexts.
Education: MBBS (Distinction) from King's College London, BSc (Hons) from UCL, and MSc Epidemiology (Distinction) from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Professional memberships include the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych).
Research focuses on dementia risk factors, neuroimaging applications, and large-scale epidemiological data analysis. Current projects investigate normal pressure hydrocephalus in memory services. Awards include the RCPsych President’s Prize (2019) and Association of British Neurologists Undergraduate Prize (2012).
Prior to King's, she served as an Academic Clinical Fellow at UCL (2019-2024) under Prof. Gill Livingston. Clinical experience includes roles in Zambia and the USA.
