Claire Poole is a Senior Lecturer/Practitioner in the Faculty of Health, Education and Society at the University of Northampton. She qualified as a Mental Health Nurse in 1996 and has held various clinical roles while completing her PG Diploma in effective community care for mental health problems.
Her research focuses on therapeutic interventions, mental health communication strategies, and childhood mental wellbeing. Poole teaches modules including Therapeutic Communication Intervention (NURM008), Enhanced Communication Strategies (NUR3031), and Enhancing Advanced Practice (NURM082). She also contributes to Non-medical Prescribing (NURM114/NUR3015P), Advancing Assessment and Reasoning Skills (NURM088), and Public Health (SLS2012) courses.
