Dr Claire Hastie is a Lecturer in Public Health at the University of Glasgow. Her research focuses on epidemiology, particularly in long-COVID, cardiovascular disease trends, maternal and child health, and genetic epidemiology. She has led studies on the prevalence and natural history of long-COVID in Scotland, as well as the impact of socioeconomic factors on chronic disease outcomes.

- InterPregGen: Investigating pregnancy genetics (European Commission, 2011–2016)
Research Interests: Dr Hastie’s work spans public health challenges including pandemic impacts, chronic disease management, and the intersection of environmental factors (e.g., UV radiation) with maternal health. She also explores ethical data use in health research, such as consent processes for personal health data.
