Dr. Claire Fitzsimons is a part-time Lecturer in Physical Activity for Health at the University of Edinburgh’s Moray House School of Education and Sport, affiliated with the Institute for Sport, Physical Education & Health Sciences (ISPEHS). She holds a PhD in Exercise Physiology (2006) and a Physiology degree (2001), both from the University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on reducing sedentary behavior in older adults, workplace interventions for hybrid/homeworkers, physical activity during menopause, and improving muscle strength and balance in adults.
