Claire E. Altman

Dr Claire E. Altman is Associate Professor with joint appointments in the Department of Health Sciences and Truman School of Government and Public Affairs at University of Missouri. As a social demographer, her research examines population health disparities and immigrant well-being, investigating how policy environments shape health outcomes across diverse communities.

Her interdisciplinary work bridges public policy analysis with health science methodologies to address inequities in healthcare access and social determinants of health. She maintains active research collaborations across academic units and contributes to policy development through evidence-based research.
