Dr. Claire Davies is a Professor in Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Queen's University, leading the Building and Designing Assistive Technology (BDAT) Lab. She serves as Co-Lead of the Research, Design, and Innovation Community of Practice for the Canadian Accessibility Network, driving interdisciplinary collaboration between engineers, clinicians, and end-users to develop inclusive assistive solutions.
Her research centers on user-centered biomechanics and assistive technology development, with core projects including Go Baby Go (adapting mobility devices for children) and Building Better Together (interprofessional design education).
