Claire Abernathy is a Professor of Theatre Education at Arkansas State University within the College of Liberal Arts and Communication. She has been a faculty member since 2010, designing costumes for over 50 productions at A-State and collaborating with Jonesboro’s professional theatre company, The Link Theatre.

Claire manages the A-State Theatre costume shop and oversees student designers. She combines practical costume design with sustainability research, while her off-Broadway work with the Broadway Bound Theatre Festival highlights her professional contributions beyond academia.
