Dr Clair Quentin is a Lecturer at the Kent Law School, University of Kent. They qualified as a barrister in 2005 and practiced corporate tax law at major firms like Allen & Overy LLP, Farrer & Co LLP, and Stone King LLP until 2018. Their research focuses on international corporate tax norms, global value chains, political economy, and Marxist value theory. They completed a PhD on international corporate tax reform in 2020 and actively participates in tax justice campaigns, including work with the All Party Parliamentary Group on Anti-Corruption and Responsible Tax.
Education: PhD in Political Economy (University of Kent, 2020). Extensive legal practice experience in tax law. Research interests include tax avoidance, state-capital dynamics, and global inequality chains. Supervises doctoral research on tax law and political economy.
