Cintia Faija

Cintia Faija is an Honorary Research Fellow in the Mental Health Research Group at the University of Manchester's Division of Nursing, Midwifery & Social Work. She leads the EQUITy NIHR Grant Programme, focusing on improving telephone-delivered psychological interventions. Previously, she was a Senior Researcher in the PATHWAY NIHR Grant Programme at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Trust.

Education:

• PhD in Clinical Psychology, University of Manchester (2016)
• Licenciada in Psychology (Hons), Del Salvador University, Argentina (2006)

Research Interests:

• Mental health, emotional processes, and psychological therapies
• Long-term benefits of treatments for anxiety and depression
• Improving healthcare quality and patient engagement
• Systematic reviews and mixed-methods research

Advising & Grants:

• Accepting PhD students
• Secured NIHR RfPB grant to study long-term benefits of NHS Talking Therapies
• Principal investigator in EQUITy and PATHWAY programmes

Labs/Teams: Active in the Mental Health Research Group and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams in EQUITy and PATHWAY initiatives.
