Cindy Lisica is a full-time Professor of Art History at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), transitioning from operating a contemporary art gallery in Houston while teaching. She is also a curator, consultant, and scholar specializing in Modern and Contemporary Art, with a focus on East Asia and Andy Warhol. Her research bridges studio practice and academic inquiry, informed by her work with Takashi Murakami and exhibitions like 'Pop Life: Art in a Material World' at Tate Modern.
Lisica earned her PhD in History and Theory of Art from University of the Arts London (UAL), where her research expanded from her MA thesis on Superflat art and East/West binaries in art history. She has presented at international conferences (Los Angeles, Helsinki, Berlin, Pittsburgh) and collaborated with institutions such as Tate Britain, where she worked part-time as a Research Assistant during her doctoral studies.
