Cindy Alder serves as an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Snow College within the School of Natural Science and Mathematics. She has been a full-time faculty member since Fall 2010, previously serving as an Adjunct Instructor from Fall 2001 to Spring 2010.
Her educational background includes:
- M.Ed. with emphasis in Mathematics Teaching, Utah State University (2008)
- B.S. Mathematics, Southern Utah University (1995)
Dr. Alder specializes in Algebra education with extensive experience developing teaching materials. She has created comprehensive video podcast libraries and guided lecture notes covering topics from linear equations to conic sections. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes practical applications and accessibility of mathematical concepts for students at various skill levels.
Currently teaching courses including Beginning Algebra, Pre-Algebra, and College Algebra for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026, she has developed structured approaches for both traditional and online learning environments. Her materials demonstrate particular expertise in scaffolding algebraic concepts through multiple learning modalities.
