Ciara Hackett is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Law at Queen's University Belfast (QUB). Her research focuses on business and human rights, particularly corporate accountability and remedy mechanisms. She explores how international guidelines like the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises shape corporate obligations and access to justice. Ciara has authored a monograph on capital control dynamics and contributes to global initiatives such as the UK Business and Human Rights Network.
Teaching-wise, she specializes in private/commercial law, including Torts, Corporate Governance, and CSR. She received a QUB Teaching Award (2015) for innovative pedagogy, emphasizing skills development and interactive learning. She co-founded the QUB Student Law Journal (2015), showcasing undergraduate research.
