Dr. Chux Daniels is a Senior Research Fellow at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) within the University of Sussex Business School and an Associate Professor at the University of Pretoria's Department of Engineering and Technology Management. He directs the Transformative Innovation Policy Consortium (TIPC) Africa Hub at the University of Pretoria's Future Africa Campus. His expertise spans Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) policy, digital transformation, and sustainable development.

Research Interests: Focus on STI policy formulation/governance, digitalization (AI/4IR), industrial policy, political economy analysis, and international development. Active in African policy work with UN agencies, African Union Commission, and multilateral organizations like the World Bank.
Key Collaborations: Leads projects across 15+ African countries, collaborating with institutions in Colombia, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. Current initiatives include the Transformative Innovation Africa Hub (TIAH), DSI/NRF Trilateral Research Chair, and GCRF Inclusive Societies Project.

- Lead researcher for STI policy frameworks in Uganda, Zambia, and South Africa

Policy Impact: Developed monitoring frameworks for Africa's STISA-2024 strategy and South Africa's White Paper on STI. Advises governments and international bodies on innovation ecosystems and sustainable development goals.
