ChungHyuk Lee

Dr. ChungHyuk Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University. He holds a PhD from the University of Toronto (2019) and a BEng from McGill University (2014). His research focuses on hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, carbon capture, electrochemical systems, and advanced material characterization using synchrotron and neutron imaging. He leads the Fluids and Electrochemical Engineering Lab (FEEL), emphasizing sustainable energy solutions and student mentorship.

Research Interests

Dr. Lee explores innovative technologies for clean energy infrastructure, including hydrogen fuel cells, carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS), and advanced imaging techniques like synchrotron X-ray and neutron spectroscopy. His work addresses challenges in electrode design, porous media transport, and precious metal recycling for cost-effective, high-performance electrochemical systems.
