Chunfang Zhou

Chunfang Zhou is an Associate Professor at the University of Southern Denmark, affiliated with the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, the Learning, Experience and Design (LxD) group, and the STEM Center for Educational Research – FNUG. She leads the AI Learning Lab and serves as Co-Director for Research and Academic Excellence at the STEM Education Research Center.

Her research centers on creativity, technology, and society in STEM education, focusing on human-AI co-creative learning, AI-assisted pedagogy, teacher education, and ethics. She explores problem- and project-based learning, digital technologies in education, design thinking, and Eastern/Chinese cultural perspectives. Her teaching includes philosophy of science, history of mathematics, and interdisciplinary models.

Recent publications highlight trends in creative pragmatics, AI literacy, co-creative learning with AI, and artifact-based mathematics education. These works emphasize interdisciplinary, ethical, and emotionally engaged pedagogies, often with cross-cultural applications between Denmark and China.

She actively supervises student projects, examines PhD theses, and leads research initiatives such as the Sino-Danish Creativity in Technology Design network and the LabSTEM+ project. She leads the AI Learning Lab, fostering innovation in human-AI educational interaction, and contributes to the STEM Education Research Center, advancing research excellence in science education.
