Chun-Yu Ho is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University at Albany, State University of New York. Prior to his current position, he held faculty appointments at Georgia Institute of Technology and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, along with visiting roles at Bank of Finland (Institute for Economies in Transition), Hong Kong Institute of Monetary Research, Fudan University, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
He received his PhD in Economics from Boston University, establishing the foundation for his academic career in economic research and instruction.
Professor Ho's research spans Industrial Organization, Development Economics, Applied Econometrics, and Health Economics, with publications appearing in premier journals including Review of Economics and Statistics, International Economic Review, Journal of Econometrics, and Management Science. His methodological rigor in applied econometrics informs cross-disciplinary investigations into market structures and economic development. He currently serves as Associate Editor for Singapore Economic Review, contributing to scholarly discourse in economic policy analysis.
At the University at Albany, Professor Ho teaches undergraduate and graduate industrial organization courses, building on prior instructional experience in Chinese Economy and Economics of Banking at other institutions. His academic service includes editorial responsibilities and collaborative research across international institutions.
