Chun Qing is a Professor and Doctoral supervisor at the School of Architecture, Southeast University, affiliated with the Institute of Building Technology and Science. He holds national certifications as a first-class registered structural engineer and serves as a review expert for the National Natural Science Foundation and Zhejiang Province Natural Science Foundation. His research focuses on historical conservation engineering and structural reinforcement techniques.
Research Expertise: Dr. Qing specializes in advanced methodologies for preserving architectural heritage, including non-destructive structural assessment, traditional timber construction techniques, and seismic reinforcement of historical masonry. His applied research bridges architectural conservation theory with practical engineering solutions for cultural relic sites.
Major Projects: He has directed over 100 significant conservation projects including UNESCO World Heritage sites like the Great Wall, Imperial Palace's Yanxi Palace, Ming Dynasty Xiaoling Tomb, and the landmark Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge restoration. These projects integrate innovative structural analysis with traditional craftsmanship.
