Chuck Koontz serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Conservatory of Music within Biola University's School of Fine Arts and Communication, while simultaneously holding the position of Assistant Librarian for Systems and Special Collections at the Biola University Library. His dual roles encompass managing University Archives and Special Collections, acting as liaison librarian for both the School of Fine Arts and Communication and the Snyder School of Cinema and Media Arts, and providing Applied Lesson Instruction for Tuba performance.
His professional expertise bridges library science and music education, with research interests spanning Music Performance (Tuba), Library and Information Science, Archives Management, Cinema and Media Studies, and Communication. As a liaison librarian, he specializes in supporting academic programs through specialized collection development and research assistance, while his conservatory role focuses on instrumental pedagogy.
