Chuanman YOU

Chuanman YOU is a Visiting Senior Fellow and heads the Centre for Regulation and Global Governance at the Institute for International Affairs, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He previously held roles at the EW Barker Centre for Law & Business (NUS Faculty of Law) and institutions like Singapore Management University and Tel Aviv University. His research focuses on FinTech regulation, data governance, M&A law, and platform economics.

Dr. You’s work bridges legal frameworks and emerging technologies, particularly in China’s digital economy. He has published extensively on topics like regulatory innovation in e-commerce, cross-border M&A, and bankruptcy law reforms. His articles highlight critical issues such as data protection in platform economies and fiduciary duties in financial advisory contexts.

Key research areas include China’s evolving regulatory regimes for FinTech, dual-class share structures in corporate governance, and comparative legal studies of takeover regulations.
