Chrysanthos (Chris) Dellarocas is a Visiting Professor at The American College of Greece (ACG) and currently serves as Associate Provost for Digital Learning & Innovation at Boston University (BU), where he also holds the Richard C. Shipley Professorship in Information Systems at BU’s Questrom School of Business. He leads BU’s digital learning initiatives and is a globally recognized expert in online reputation systems, social media dynamics, and digital innovation.
Education: PhD and MSc in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (Greece). Prior to academia, he worked as a management consultant at Andersen Consulting (Accenture) and McKinsey, co-founded two startups, and holds nine patents.
Research Interests: Focus on the intersection of technology and business, particularly in online platforms, user-generated content, social media’s societal impact, and leveraging digital tools for education and innovation. His work bridges computer science, management, and policy, advising corporations and governments on digital strategies.
Advising & Innovation: Has advised numerous startups and corporations on digital strategies. His patents and entrepreneurial ventures reflect expertise in applying technical solutions to real-world business challenges. Active in fostering innovation ecosystems through academic leadership and executive education programs.
