Christy Nielson is an Assistant Professor of Accountancy at the University of Mississippi's Patterson School of Accountancy. She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Georgia and combines academic expertise with industry experience from Deloitte's Nashville office.

Recent publications examine power dynamics in audit evidence selection, fraud detection mechanisms, and private equity influences on audit practices. Her work has been recognized by regulatory bodies and cited in auditing standards.
