Professor Christy Adair is a Visiting Professor of Dance at the University of Bedfordshire and Professor Emerita of Dance Studies at York St John University. Her research focuses on gender, ethnicity, and contemporary dance in Africa and the Diaspora. She co-curated the British dance: Black routes exhibition at the International Slavery Museum,利物浦, and authored seminal works like Dancing the Black Question (2007) and Women and Dance (1992). Her recent collaboration with Dr Laura Griffiths explores inter-generational dance practices. She is affiliated with the Research Institute for Media, Arts and Performance (RIMAP) at Bedfordshire.
