Christos Mousas is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Graphics Technology at Purdue University's Polytechnic Institute and Director of the Virtual Reality Lab. His research focuses on virtual reality, virtual humans, computer graphics/animation, and human-computer interaction. He earned his Ph.D. in Informatics from the University of Sussex (2014), an M.Sc. in Multimedia Applications and Virtual Environments (2011), and a five-year integrated Masters in Audiovisual Science and Art from Ionian University (2009). He completed a Postdoctoral Researcher position at Dartmouth College's Department of Computer Science (2015-2016).

His recent grants include projects like 'The Stayed and Stolen: Building an Immersive Virtual Environment of Cape Coast Castle' and 'Using AI to Transform Online Video Lectures into Effective and Inclusive Agent-Based Presentations'. He manages the VR Lab and collaborates with the Center for Connected and Automated Transportation. His work bridges technical innovation with user-centered design, emphasizing accessibility and immersive experiences.
