معرفی
Christos Markides is a Professor of Clean Energy Technologies at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Imperial College London. He leads the Clean Energy Processes (CEP) Laboratory and coordinates the Experimental Multiphase Flow (EMF) Laboratory. He also co-founded and directs Solar Flow Ltd, a spin-out company focused on clean energy innovations.
Education:
- MEng in Engineering (Distinction), University of Cambridge (2000–2001)
- PhD in Energy Technologies, University of Cambridge (2001–2005)
Research interests span clean energy technologies, including solar energy, waste heat recovery, thermal energy storage, and nuclear energy systems. His work emphasizes multiphase flows, fluid dynamics, and advanced diagnostics for energy efficiency. Key areas include hybrid photovoltaic-thermal (PV-T) systems, geothermal energy, and decarbonization strategies for heating and power systems.
His recent articles focus on organic Rankine cycles, solar energy integration, and energy storage technologies. Collaborations include the Energy Futures Lab and the Institute for Molecular Science and Engineering.
