Christos Constantinidis is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Psychology, Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences, Neurological Surgery, and Radiology & Radiological Sciences at Vanderbilt University. He holds the Stevenson Chair and serves as Associate Director of the Vanderbilt Brain Institute. His research focuses on understanding how neuronal activity in the cerebral cortex underpins cognitive functions, particularly working memory, using non-human primate models with advanced neurophysiological and imaging techniques. His work integrates computational analyses to translate findings into applications for human cognitive disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease.
