Christopher Wildeman is Professor and Chair of Sociology at Duke University, and Research Professor at the ROCKWOOL Foundation Research Unit. He is also affiliated with the Sanford School of Public Policy, the Kenan Institute for Ethics, and the Center for Child and Family Policy. His work focuses on the prevalence, causes, and consequences of contact with the criminal legal and child welfare systems for families, particularly examining intergenerational transmission of justice contact, health disparities, and structural inequality.
