Christopher W. Stewart

Christopher W. Stewart serves as Vice Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Campbell University School of Medicine (CUSOM), where he also holds faculty appointments in the medical school and physician assistant program. His clinical and academic work centers on internal medicine with emphasis on hospital-based care and graduate medical education.

Dr. Stewart earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his MD from East Carolina University. He completed his internship and Internal Medicine Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he served as Chief Resident.

His professional focus spans Internal Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and Medical Education, with significant contributions to residency training programs and clinical practice standards. He previously directed the Internal Medicine Residency Program for Harnett Health System, demonstrating leadership in graduate medical education.

His distinguished recognition includes:
