Christopher W. Baynard

Christopher W. Baynard is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography and GIS at the University of North Florida. His expertise spans Drone and Aerial Photography, Energy and Environment, Geospatial Analysis (GIS), Remote Sensing, and Study Abroad Course Development. He holds a BS from the College of Charleston, an MA from Louisiana State University, and a PhD from the University of Florida.

His research integrates geospatial technologies with environmental and public health challenges. Recent work includes coastal resilience studies using oyster shell habitats, telehealth accessibility during the pandemic, and long-term land-use changes via aerial surveys.
