Christopher Vye serves as Associate Professor and Department Chair of the Graduate School of Professional Psychology within the Morrison Family College of Health at the University of St. Thomas. He has held the Chair position since 2013 and previously served as Associate Dean in the College of Education, Leadership and Counseling from 2010 to 2013.

Dr. Vye's research centers on anxiety disorders, psychopathology, and evidence-based psychotherapy. He maintains a specialty practice in anxiety treatment since 1999 and focuses on intervention research, treatment outcomes, and professional psychology training. His work emphasizes translating scientific findings into clinical applications while addressing nomenclature challenges in psychopathology.
Recent publications analyze anxiety management techniques and the narrowing science-practice gap in evidence-based interventions, highlighting trends toward practical implementation of research in clinical settings.

- Outstanding Graduate Faculty Award, Minnesota Psychological Association (2007)
Dr. Vye secured research funding including a 2011 Building Research & Development grant for establishing a memory disorders clinic at the Interprofessional Center and a Graduate Research Team Grant for his qualitative study on panic experiences in emergency rooms.
He co-founded a specialty anxiety practice and contributes to the University's Interprofessional Center, developing clinical services for anxiety disorders and memory conditions while supporting graduate training initiatives.
