Christopher Tucker is an Adjunct Professor of History at Cumberland University, where he has served as an online instructor since Spring 2018. He also teaches full-time at Florida Southwestern Collegiate High School. His academic background includes a B.A. in History from Southern New Hampshire University, and M.A. degrees from Dartmouth College (Liberal Studies) and Clark University (History).
Tucker’s research focuses on American social, cultural, and political history, with notable work on topics like Blackface Minstrelsy, feminist activism, and civil rights. He has published in journals such as The Historian and Moravian Journal of Literature and Film, and is currently researching police brutality and Black social spaces in 1960s Springfield, Massachusetts.
He has presented at academic conferences in the U.S. and internationally, including Birmingham, England. Beyond academia, Tucker worked for the Boston Red Sox from 2013–2017, earning the 2014 Employee of the Year award for his contributions to Fenway Park Tours.
