Christopher Sciamanna, MD, MPH, is a Professor in the Department of Medicine (Division of General Internal Medicine) and Department of Public Health Sciences at Penn State. He serves as Associate Director of the Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) and is affiliated with the Penn State Cancer Institute's Cancer Control division. His research focuses on aging populations, physical activity interventions, and digital health technologies. Sciamanna has led over 17 grants, including studies on resistance training for older adults and comparative effectiveness of exercise programs. He has authored 166+ peer-reviewed articles, with recent work emphasizing stress management, stroke survivor care, and behavioral health interventions.
