Christopher S. Brown is a tenured Professor and the Vice President for Research at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He holds a Ph.D. in Plant Biology and has dedicated his career to studying how spaceflight conditions, such as altered gravity and lighting, affect plant growth and development. His work includes leading projects on the Space Shuttle and International Space Station, and he previously taught a popular Space Biology course at North Carolina State University (NCSU).
- Education: B.S. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, M.S. and Ph.D. from NCSU.
- Professional Experience: Vice President for Research at UAB, Associate Vice Chancellor for Research Development at NCSU, and Vice President for Research at the University of North Carolina System.
