Christopher Raymond is an Adjunct Professor of Bassoon at the University of Illinois – Springfield, actively contributing to the music community in Central Illinois.
- Education: D.M.A. and M.M. in Bassoon Performance and Literature from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, B.M. from Millikin University
He performs as Second Bassoon with Sinfonia da Camera, Principal Bassoon with Urbana Pops Orchestra and Sugar Creek Opera, and has toured internationally with groups like the South Shore Orchestra. Dr. Raymond has also been featured as a soloist with multiple symphonies and taught private bassoon lessons since 2010, mentoring students who have advanced to All-State ensembles and music careers.
