Christopher Pissarides

Sir Christopher Pissarides is Regius Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics, with additional appointments as Professor of European Studies at the University of Cyprus and Sohmen Professor-at-Large at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He chairs Cyprus's Council of National Economy.

A Nobel laureate (2010) for research on labor economics, his work examines market frictions and unemployment dynamics. He maintains active research collaborations across European and Asian institutions.
