Christopher Phenix is a Lecturer at Lakehead University, where he has taught courses in Biochemistry (I and II) and Drug Design since 2010. He also served as a Guest Lecturer on PET molecular imaging and tyrosine kinase receptors at Lakehead University and the University of Regina.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry (2007), University of Saskatchewan
- B.Sc. in Chemistry and Biochemistry (2000), University of Regina
Dr. Phenix specializes in PET imaging, bio-organic chemistry, and the development of probes for enzyme activity imaging. His work integrates radiochemistry, drug design, and enzymology to create molecular tools for cancer and neurodegenerative disease imaging. His recent publications focus on enzyme-targeting probes, covalent inhibitors, and noninvasive imaging techniques.
Research Supervision: Dr. Phenix has mentored graduate students such as Daniel Tesolin (M.Sc.), Sepideh Dagdar (Ph.D.), Brenda Huska (M.Sc.), and Brady Vigliarolo (Ph.D.), alongside postdoctoral fellows and research associates.
