Christopher Parrish

Christopher Parrish is an Associate Professor in the Civil & Construction Engineering Department at Oregon State University's College of Engineering. He also holds an affiliate faculty position at the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping – Joint Hydrographic Center at the University of New Hampshire.

• Education:
  • Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering (Geospatial Information Engineering emphasis) from University of Wisconsin-Madison
  • M.S. in Civil and Coastal Engineering (Geomatics emphasis) from University of Florida

Dr. Parrish specializes in lidar technology, with research focusing on full-waveform lidar, topographic-bathymetric lidar, and UAV applications for coastal environments. His work also incorporates hyperspectral imagery analysis and uncertainty modeling.

His career includes prior experience as lead physical scientist at NOAA’s National Geodetic Survey Remote Sensing Division, contributing to coastal mapping and geospatial research.
