Christopher McEvoy

Christopher McEvoy is an Associate Professor and Painting Area Coordinator in the Department of Art and Design at the State University of New York at Oswego. He holds an MFA from Boston University and has held residencies at prestigious institutions including the Royal Academy of Art (London), Ragdale Foundation, and Le Moulin a Nef (France). His affiliations span academic and artistic collaborations across the US and Europe.

McEvoy's research explores painting, mixed media, contemporary art, and collage, with exhibitions examining liminality and material transformation. His practice integrates traditional techniques with experimental approaches, reflecting in solo shows at venues like Tyler Art Gallery and international group exhibitions.

He has received significant honors, including:

• Starr Scholar at the Royal Academy of Art, London
• Juror’s Choice Award (Masur Museum of Art)
• Residencies at Ragdale Foundation, Vermont Studio Center, and European arts centers
