Christopher Londa is a Loeb Classical Library Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Classics at Johns Hopkins University since 2023. His research focuses on the intersection of literary production and labor conditions in the Roman world, particularly the role of marginalized workers in enabling elite literary output. He currently teaches a graduate seminar on 'Slavery and Literature in the Ancient Roman World.'

Research Interests: Londa examines hidden labor in Roman authorship, including secretaries, copyists, and lectors who facilitated literary creation. His book project Hidden Labor in Roman Authorship and Literature explores how these workers influenced texts from the late Republican to early Imperial periods. Themes include slavery, property, patronage, and socio-cultural dynamics.
