Christopher King

Christopher King is an Associate Professor of Psychology and Director of Clinical Training at Montclair State University. Holding a JD-PhD dual degree, he specializes in forensic psychology, correctional psychology, and mental health law with clinical interests in Dialectical Behavior Therapy for justice-involved individuals. His research examines prison governance alternatives, risk assessment methodologies, and technology applications in juvenile justice.

Research focuses include:

• Telehealth interventions for reentry courts
• Developmental maturity in justice-involved youth

Publications demonstrate consistent focus on evidence-based correctional practices, forensic assessment validation, and pandemic-era mental health interventions. Recent works show increased emphasis on technology-mediated treatments and large dataset analysis.

Supervises the Telehealth DBT Skills Training Program and leads the Forensic Psychology Research Lab, which investigates correctional human services and police psychological screening protocols.
