Christopher Jennelle

Christopher Jennelle serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor and Research Scientist with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Wildlife Health Program, applying quantitative ecology to wildlife conservation challenges in Minnesota.

His research spans wildlife disease ecology, population dynamics, and spatial analysis, with active projects on chronic wasting disease in white-tailed deer, avian influenza surveillance in wild birds, moose population health assessments, and wolf morphometrics/genetic structure studies. This interdisciplinary work bridges epidemiology, conservation biology, and natural resource management to address emerging wildlife health threats.

As a key scientist in Minnesota's Wildlife Health Program, he develops disease response frameworks for cross-taxonomic conservation issues, emphasizing data-driven approaches to wildlife management policy and ecosystem health preservation.
