Christopher J. McInerny

Dr. Christopher J. McInerny is a Senior Lecturer in Molecular Biosciences at the University of Glasgow, focusing on cell cycle regulation in Schizosaccharomyces pombe. His work bridges molecular genetics, cytokinesis, and transcriptional control, with secondary involvement in ornithological taxonomy through the British Ornithologists’ Union Records Committee (BOURC).

Research Interests: His research explores gene expression during the M-G1 phase of the cell cycle, cytokinesis mechanisms, and the role of ESCRT proteins and mitotic kinases. He also contributes to ornithological taxonomy and avian population studies.
