Christopher Holman is an Associate Professor of political theory in the School of Social Sciences at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore, specializing in the history of political thought and contemporary critical and democratic theory.
His academic journey began with a Ph.D. from York University in Toronto, followed by a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Philosophy at Stony Brook University in New York.
Professor Holman's research interests span across political theory, with a focus on:
- History of political thought (particularly Machiavelli, Hobbes, and 20th century French thought)
- Democratic theory and radical democracy
- Critical theory and Marxism
- Philosophical anthropology
- Politics and psychoanalysis
