Christopher Heron

Dr. Christopher Heron is an Associate Professor at Penn State Health's Department of Family and Community Medicine. He serves as core faculty at the Penn State Health Family and Community Medicine Residency at Mount Nittany Medical Center, overseeing resident education and clinical informatics initiatives. His research focuses on clinician-patient-technology interactions, telemedicine, and healthcare efficiency through electronic health records. Dr. Heron holds a MD from Ross University School of Medicine and a BS in Biology/Biochemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has held certifications including Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine (2014) and Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice (2020).

His educational contributions include curriculum development, mentorship of over 50 residents, and training medical students in clinical systems.
